MINNESOTA SPORTS ROUNDUP: Pino's strong start, Mauer's bat carry Twins to late victory over White Sox

MINNEAPOLIS (SportsNetwork.com) -- Joe Mauer's RBI double in the bottom of the eighth propelled the Minnesota Twins to a 4-2 win over the Chicago White Sox in the opener of a four-game set.

Danny Santana singled to open the eighth off Jake Petricka (0-2) and Brian Dozier followed by chopping a single to right that put runners at the corners. Mauer then slapped an RBI double down the left-field line that plated Santana and gave Minnesota the lead.
