Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier says Josh Freeman will his team's new starting quarterback for the Monday Night Football game against the New York Giants in New Jersey. Frazier says he consulted with management and ownership this past Monday and they all concluded they wanted to move forward this week with Freeman as the top signal-caller. Freeman joined the team just last week after signing as a free agent following his departure from Tampa Bay earlier this month. Frazier says Christian Ponder will serve as the No. 2 Q-B, with Matt Cassell listed as the third-stringer. The Vikings are 1-and-4 on the season and looking for a kick-start to their season. The Giants are 0-and-6 and also could use a lift. Monday's game begins at 7:40 p.m.
