Miss Ellsworth candidates will have busy schedule
The candidates for Miss Ellsworth are busy with a flurry of activity as the date of the pageant draws near.
The candidates recently received make-up tips at the Lips, Chips and Tips gathering. Jenny Helmer of Mary Kay donated her time and products to help the girls with their make-up. Also during the evening, Cassandra Kreig and Ashton Gusa gave the girls some valuable tips on the upcoming competition while the committee helped guide them with advice and expectations.
It will be a busy time for candidates Bailey Marhoun, Cori Martinez, Askley Saunders, Keisha Taylor and Becca Thorson. One of their first activities is a Sponsor Social at the Masonic Center on April 24. The girls will also participate in a fashion show at the opening of the new Pamida Store in Ellsworth on May 3.
The queen candidates are also selling tickets for the Rod and Gun Club Fundraiser on May 8. The proceeds of this event go to support the activities of the Miss Ellsworth Committee. They are also selling buttons for the Cheese Curd Festival.
The girls will also be holding a car wash at Hinck's parking lot on May 10 and will attend a special spaghetti feed fundraiser on May 17 at the Ellsworth Masonic Center.
The Miss Ellsworth candidates will also be helping with kids games at the Ellsworth Community School District Foundation Panther Open on June 13.
