MnDOT plans office hours on bridge information in Hastings
Area people interested in what the new Hastings (Minn.) bridge could look like, the potential impacts to the surrounding environment and the cost of the different bridge types still being considered can now learn more.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) will have office hours twice a month over the next few months at Hastings City Hall, where people can come to ask questions and view materials. The office hours are 3 to 6 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month, the same days the Hastings City Council meets.
The four bridge types being considered are a standard, twin-span, girder-style bridge (similar to the new Wakota Bridge), a single-span arch bridge (similar to the current bridge), a single-span cable suspension bridge and a refurbishing of the current bridge with a new, two-lane arch bridge built next to it.
