Mueller, Steldt both finish sixth for Panthers

MADISION - Ellsworth High School wrestlers Tristen Mueller and Brock Steldt both finished sixth at the 71st WIAA State Wrestling Tournament Saturday.

Mueller, 33-13 overall, wrestling at 138 pounds in Division 2, lost both of his matches Saturday. The first loss was to Mike Chadwick (35-6) of Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal by a 7-5 decision. He was beaten in the fifth place match by Little Chute's Bryce Zdanovec (43-6) in rematch of their quarterfinal bout. This time the score was 2-1 in Zdanovec's favor.

Steldt (41-16) lost his first match in the morning to Clintonville's Jake Reiter (43-7) 9-5. In the fifth place match, Steldt was beaten Luxemburg-Casco's Dan Dorner (39-10) by a 10-3 score.
