Naked truth: It happens when police confront home intruder

Responding to a burglary call after 2 a.m. Thursday, July 17, River Falls officers entered the living room of a house in the 500 block of East Elm Street and found their man --  he was lying naked on his back on the floor.

The female occupants there said they woke earlier to a loud thump and found their back door ajar.

Then they found a nude male intruder lying on the floor.

The suspect didn’t react to police commands and was rolled over and cuffed.

Most of his clothes, plus a skateboard and cellphone were found outside the house in the grass.

The man, who’d been drinking, was identified by information in his wallet as a 24-year-old who lived a few blocks away on Sixth Street.

He was booked at the police station and given a criminal trespass citation. He allegedly apologized repeatedly to an officer for his actions.
