New church comes to life in Prescott

PRESCOTT--Statistics have shown 70 percent of those who live within the Prescott area aren't connected to a local church.

With that in mind comes a new church ready and willing to cut into that number.

Torrent Church will have its official launch at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, April 7, at Prescott High School.

"We are a Bible-based church for people who aren't really into the traditional church thing," said Pastor Israel Haas. "No church experience is necessary."

Torrent will be part of a network of churches in the St. Croix Valley "committed to helping people experience life to the full in Jesus," Haas continued. Therefore, he explained, these six values will be crucial at Torrent:
