New exercise classes open to the public
Snap Fitness and Ellsworth Chiropractic have joined together in starting exercise classes.
Sara Albrecht -- the manager, personal trainer and massage therapist at Snap Fitness -- has been teaching yoga and core ball at Ellsworth Chiropractic the past few months. She has a degree in health and exercise sciences and is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Core ball class is a full body resistance training workout using a stability ball. Although core ball works on toning the entire body, the main focus is the abdomen and lower back.
Yoga class involves relaxation, flexibility, strength, stamina and all-over toning. There are many types of yoga and Albrecht offers two kinds: fitness yoga and relaxation yoga.
Fitness yoga offers a faster paced environment, focusing on strength, stamina and stress reduction. Relaxation yoga has a much slower pace and focuses more on flexibility.
