BARRON - Carson Huppert for Ellsworth and Jill Jaeckel for Prescott made their debuts as prep girls' golf coaches at the Barron Scramble Friday, the kick-off event to the high school sports season.
Prescott did very well in their first ever appearance at the Scramble. They shot a best-ball 73, good for fifth place in the 14-team small school division.
A young Ellsworth squad made up of mostly freshmen struggled in its first meet but didn't finish last. The Panthers finished with a score of 90.

New Richmond won the large school division with a score of 62 and Osceola was right behind them with a score of 63. Baldwin-Woodville was second behind Spooner in the small school division while Somerset tied for third.
