Newest fishing spot on the Rush River
Progress is being made on a fishing area for handicapped people along the Rush River in the Town of El Paso. The Eau Galle-Rush River Sportsmen's Club has taken on the project as part of a commitment to the family of the late Herbert P. Koch, who donated land in the vicinity to be preserved as a park. Installation of the first pier at the site was underway Wednesday, with more work planned for early this week, according to Club President Arby Linder. A parking lot and walkway are included in the effort, undertaken with assistance from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
