No. 1 Panthers rip Baldwin-Woodville 15-4
BALDWIN - The No. 1 ranked Ellsworth High School baseball team had no problems staying unbeaten Monday as they routed Baldwin-Woodville 15-4 in six innings.
The Panthers, 10-0 overall and 7-0 in the Middle Border Conference, overcame five errors by cranking out 20 hits to B-W's four. The Balckhawks also had four errors. The Panthers scored 10 runs combined in the first three innings and winless B-W could not keep up.
Spencer Schroeder was the winning pitcher. Dennis Schutz led EHS in hits with four. Nick Taranto had a team-best four RBIs while Schutz had two runs batted in.
Ellsworth puts its winning streak on the line this afternoon at New Richmond. First pitch is at 5 p.m. No. 8 ranked Prescott will also be in action in the MBC at Baldwin-Woodville.
