Norbert J. Rohl, age 32, of Ellsworth, died suddenly at his home.
Bert was born on May 21, 1977, in Red Wing, Minn., the son of Carol (Cashman) and Donald Rohl. He was a graduate of Ellsworth High School and married Stacey Gulbranson on May 5, 2007, at English Lutheran Church. He belonged to the Laborers Local 132 and currently was working for Koch Refinery.
Bert's passion for life was always his family and friends first. Then came his love for all sports, most especially his Packers - "Go Pack Go!"
He is survived by his wife, Stacey and daughter, Brea; father, Donald Rohl and mother, Carol Rohl; sisters and brothers, Julie (Dana) Lansing, Peggy (Scott) Swedien, Mike (Amanda) Rohl, Mary Rohl, Ed (Amy) Rohl, Karie Place; maternal grandmother, Margaret Cashman; sisters in-law. Cady Gulbranson and Taryn Gulbranson. He is further survived by 15 nieces and nephews, other relatives and many wonderful friends.
His maternal grandfather, Richard Cashman, Sr., and paternal grandparents, Ed and Mable Rohl, preceded him in death.
Funeral services for Bert were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at English Lutheran Church, Ellsworth. Rev. Lauryl Stockness officiated. Burial in St. Bridget's Cemetery, River Falls. Friends and family were invited to call at the church from 4-8 p.m. on Monday and for one hour before the service on Tuesday.
Pallbearers were Chad Thompson, Paul Langer, Mike Fuller, Tim Kenall, John Haster, and Shane Murphy. Honorary pallbearers were Bert's brothers, Mike and Ed Rohl
