That projection actually means an estimated 10 percent drop in production.

Wisconsin leads the nation in cranberry production.

Last year's crop was a record-breaker, with Wisconsin growers planting an additional 1,500 acres.

State growers are trying to capitalize on new demand and prevent international suppliers from stepping in.
