Ojibwe dancers to perform at St. Joseph's School Thursday
PRESCOTT - Ojibwe dancers from St. Francis Solanus Mission School from the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation will be performing 1:15 p.m., this Thursday at St. Joseph's School in Prescott.
The children are from grades Kindergarten through eighth. They will perform traditional nature, skill, and social dances. Also, a special presentation in honor of the First Native American Saint, St. Kateri Tekakwitha, will be included.
For more than a century, St. Francis Solanus School has been in existence. It is the only non-tuition Catholic School in all of Sawyer County. There, non-tuition schools encounter volunteerism and depend predominately on donations. Free will donations are welcomed and will be accepted on the day of the performance.
All are welcome to the performance.
