Open enrollment interest in Pierce County mixed

Open enrollment applications recorded by area schools last month showed mixed interest.

Last week, the Ellsworth and Plum City districts reported applicant activity this February was above that from February of 2010, while activity in the Elmwood and Spring Valley districts was below their reports from a year ago.

However, only in Ellsworth and Plum City were the number of students who indicated they're considering transferring out this fall higher than the previous year. Ellsworth alone had a fewer number of students signaling they may transfer in than it did at this time in '10.
