Panthers grapplers in 16th place at Cheesehead Invitational
KAUKAUNA - The Ellsworth High School wrestling team currently sits in 16th place in the 26-team Cheesehead Invitational after Friday's first round. The Panthers scored 81 points.
The host school and No. 1 ranked team in Wisconsin, Kaukauna, leads the meet with 147 points.
However, EHS has the opportunity to move up in today's second round and Jens Lantz at 126 pounds, Gabe Frandsen at 160 and Logan Kemmerer at 170 are still in the championship bracket.
Also still wrestling in the second round in wrestlebacks are Gabe Mancino at 113, Anders Lantz at 120, Cole Toejnes at 138, Josh Hines at 152 and Brady Zimmer at 182.
