HAGER CITY - Ellsworth High School's baseball team made the clutch hits and key catches on defense to edge Somerset 3-2 and stay undefeated in Middle Border Conference play.


Down 2-0, the Panthers came back with an RBI-single from Tyler Regnier in the third inning and a two RBI-triple by Tanner Eggenberger to go ahead in the fourth inning

Eggenberger also made several key defensive plays, including setting up a double play and catching two high ball flyouts for key outs, one coming on a foul ball in the seventh inning.

Ellsworth improves to 4-0 in the conference and 6-1 overall.
