Panthers ranked No. 1 in state in first state baseball poll, Prescott No. 6

The first Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association state high school baseball poll for the 2014 season has Ellsworth the top team in the state in Division 2


The Panthers are 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the Middle Border Conference.

Also in the poll is Prescott at No. 6 in Division 2. The Cardinals are also undefeated at 9-0, 5-0 in the Middle Border Conference.

Both Prescott and Ellsworth are scheduled to play each other Friday at Brown Field in Hager City at 5 p.m.

Spring Valley is another Pierce County team which is undefeated so far in the regular season. The Cardinals received honorable mention in the Division 4 poll.
