Panthers in the Woods

The Ellsworth Middle School again offered an outdoor education experience to interested students. The program is titled "Panthers in the Woods." The program happened for six weeks from April 22 through June 3. Students who signed up for this program were involved in activities like hiking, kayaking, fishing and rock climbing, to name just a few. The students had a cookout on the last day after finishing their kayaking tour. This activity is taught by Chad Nelson, who is an outdoor educator. The program helps the students to learn to enjoy the great outdoors, while learning to work as a group. This activity also helps the students to work on gaining knowledge about activities they can do later in life.
