"I heard nothing but positive comments," said High School English Teacher Jennifer Bechel, who organized the trip. "The kids absolutely loved it."

Besides the students, mostly juniors and seniors, 12 community members and Band Director Merlyn Aude went.

Bechel said the trip came about when a couple of female junior students expressed interest in attending. Bechel informed them there would be some costs involved; that didn't matter, the students told her.

"They really wanted to go and that motivated me to organize it," she said.

The Chanhassen version was based on the popular 1980's movie starring Kevin Bacon.

"It was a great performance that featured very talented actors and actresses," Bechel said of the Chanhassen version. She added it is neat to have a place like Chanhassen in the Midwest for those who enjoy the arts.
