PC win streak snapped, Spring Valley tops Glenwood City

The two-game winning streak for the Plum City High School boys' basketball team was snapped in rather rude fashion by Mondovi Monday evening.

The Buffaloes won 66-33 at PC, dropping the Blue Devils to 2-4 overall and 2-2 in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference.

The Devils again got off to a bad start, down 33-11 at halftime. But unlike their previous two affairs, PC could not rally in the second half. In fact, they were outscored 34-22.

Alex Boyer led Plum City in scoring with 10 points.

Spring Valley lost to the same Mondovi squad in overtime in their last ballgame, which has put the Buffs' on top of the league with a 3-0 record. But Valley bounced back last evening to win at Glenwood City 65-55.

The contest was rescheduled from the first week of the regular season.

Zac Webster again had a big game for the Cardinals, finishing with 26 points to lead all scorers. SV is also 2-1 overall.
