PCH features new bloggers on website
The Pierce County Herald website is adding four new blogs onto its website and is looking for more from the Pierce County community.
Maria Shea of Spring Valley is one of these new bloggers. She is a mental health counselor, part of the Awakening Counseling and Wellness Services in Hudson but who also has an office in Spring Valley. Maria talks about her work from this profile at the website LinkedIn.com (www.linkedin.com):
"With over 18 year's of healing experience, I do not see people from a mental illness or disease perspective, I see people from a mental health perspective. I see people as whole, complete, and perfect just as they are. I do not see them as needing to be "fixed" or to focus on what is "wrong" with them. I understand that people have complaints, discomforts, traumas, addictions, and sometimes deep despair in anxiety, unhappiness, and depressions. I feel that I am the "vessel" for their journey out of their state of imbalance. I am honored to be their witness to help them grieve, process, plan, and heal."
Also new on the PCH blog roster is Greg Gillis' Packer Analysis. Gillis has been writing columns on the Green Bay Packers and NFC North Division for the past several years.
Sports editor Sean Scallon brings his Desktop Sportsman column to the web. His blogs will deal with professional and collegiate sports with the focus on the teams in the Upper Midwest.
