A bad week for the Plum City High School boys basketball team and good week for Spring Valley was capped off by Spring Valley's 58-39 win over PC at Spring Valley Saturday in a rescheduled Dunn-St. Croix Conference contest between the two Pierce County rivals.

Spring Valley essentially put the game away in the first half leading 33-14 at halftime. Valley had two played in double figures led by Zac Webster's 19 points while Jake Helmer finished with 14 points. Nash Gilles had 12 points to lead Plum City. The Cardinals went 2-0 for the week while the Blue Devils were 0-2.

In other weekend prep basketball contests, Prescott's boys team stayed perfect in Middle Border Conference play with a 49-41 win at home vs. Osceola Friday. PHS will try to take a big step towards the school's first -ever MBC title in boys' basketball on Tuesday when theyr travel to Somerset, who is 7-1 in league play. In girls basketball, Elk Mound defeated Plum City Friday, 59-30.
