PCHA needs sale items for fundraiser
The Pierce County Historical Association (PCHA) will participate in the Great River Road 100-Mile Garage Sale on Friday, May 4, and Saturday, May 5, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the River Bluffs History Center, W6321 E. Main St., Bay City.
The annual garage sale is PCHA's major fundraiser of the year. Bargains, treasures, annual quilt raffle tickets, barbeque sandwiches, baked goods and refreshments will be available.
Proceeds support maintenance of the association's History Center and Conlin Log Cabin in Bay City, its storage facility in Hager City and, this year, its renovation of the newly acquired H.W. Lawrence Photography Studio buildings in Ellsworth.
PCHA is grateful for past donations from county residents and will accept sale items at the River Bluffs History Center this Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., this Saturday from noon to 3 p.m., and Thursday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Desired in good, usable condition are antique, vintage or modern tools, fishing tackle, sports gear, children's toys and games, CDs, DVDs, books, art work, pottery, costume jewelry, dishes, quilts, wall hangings and kitchenware. Not accepted are clothing, electrical items (shavers, curling irons, appliances, blankets), vases, mugs and Christmas decorations.
