Peace gathering in Hager City July 12
HAGER CITY -- On Saturday, July 12, the annual peace gathering, Pigstock, will be held at Schaefers' Pig Wisdom Farm in Hager City, sponsored by Veterans For Peace, CH 115. Everyone is welcome.
This year's Pigstock includes:
--Registration, Introductions and Announcements: 8:30-9:45 a.m.
--Speakers and Workshops: 10-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m. Among them are Karen Kwiatkowski, Lt. Col. U.S.A.F., ret.; "Iraq Veterans Against the War"; and David M. Green, Prof. of Political Science, Hofstra U. Additional speakers and workshops will be announced.
--Food, Lunch Wagon, coffee, sandwiches, etc., at reasonable prices
--Dinner, Pig Roast, vegetarian preferences will be available.
--Other meals for those camping out Friday and/or Saturday nights, and for Sunday breakfast bring some food and enjoy pot luck sharing.
--Accommodations, camping on the farm/in the barn in case of severe weather; local motels, home stay arrangements-contact David Harris, firstname.lastname@example.org.

Cost: $25 preregistered, $30 on-site registration, discounts on a sliding scale for students, IVAW members, low income, etc. No one will be turned away. Donations welcomed. There is plenty of room for any person or organization wanting to exhibit materials and literature, but table and tent space are limited, so please bring additional folding tables, chairs and umbrellas.
