Plum City High School's girls basketball team swept the season series with Elmwood, winning 48-38 at Elmwood Monday evening.

The Raiders stayed almost even with PC but the Blue Devils stayed ahead thanks to having three players in double figures led by Cheyanne Catura's 15 points, Elaina Danzinger's season-high 14 points and Sarah Gilles's 12 points.  While Plum City struggled at the free-throw line, they were able to make 6-of-10 in the crucial fourth quarter. Catura sank four of them in the final minutes.

Plum City is at St. Croix Central Thursday while Elmwood hosts Boyceville Friday. PC will also play a rescheduled contest at Glenwood City if both the PC and GC boys teams lose their first-round regional contests this evening.

Also in the D-SC last evening, Glenwood City edged Spring Valley 56-44 at Spring Valley. The Cardinals played much better this time vs. Hilltoppers, trailing only by five points 40-35 going into the fourth quarter before the 'Toppers outscored them 19-9.

Emily Boisen led SV in scoring with 15 points and teammate Nevada Schlegel finished with 12 points. Valley concludes its regular season Thursday at Mondovi.
