PIERCE COUNTY PREP SCOREBOARD: E/PC to play for regional title today

BOYCEVILLE -- The Elmwood/Plum City softball team will be playing for a Regional title today after beating Boyceville 18-6 in a Division 4 regional semifinal Wednesday in Boyceville. 

The No. 3 seeded Wolves will play the No. 1 seed Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran 5 p.m., at ECIL for the title. Eau Claire advanced after beating Glenwood City 2-0. 

Alix Boltik paced the E/PC offense with three RBI, while Shelby Hall had two hits, four runs and two RBI. Heidi Webb scored twice and added two RBI and Liz Fredrickson added two RBI. Hall claimed the win. 

Elmwood/PC jumped out early, scoring seven runs in the first, and increased their lead with five in the third and four in the fifth.

In other prep action, Ellsworth's Will Huppert lost his first round tennis match at No. 1 singles in the Black River Falls sectional.
