Nonmetallic Mining Reclamation Plan
Notice is hereby given that Milestone Materials has filed an application for a Nonmetallic Mining Reclamation Permit with the Pierce County Land Management Department under the Pierce County Nonmetallic Mining Reclamation Ordinance. The application is for the Morrison Quarry with above ground disturbance wholly or in part of:
Location: E ½ of the NW ¼ and the SW ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 35, T25N R18W, Town of Trenton
Owner: William P. Morrison
The Morrison Quarry is an active limestone quarry to be continued on the parcels referenced above. The post-mining use will be passive recreation and agriculture.
Any person residing within, owning property within, or whose principal place of business is within 300 feet of the boundary of the parcel or parcels of land in which the non- metallic mining site is located or proposed may request a public informational hearing. Pierce County shall hold a public hearing if requested by any of these persons within 30 days of the actual date of public notice. The hearing shall be conducted as an informational hearing for the purpose of explaining and receiving comment from affected persons on the nature, feasibility and effects of the proposed reclamation.
