PIERCE COUNTY SCOREBOARD: Plum City baseball team gets first win

Plum City 's baseball team won its first game of the season and Brent Blegen's first game as head coach 9-8 over Boyceville at Legion Park in Plum City.

The Blue Devils scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to pull out the win.

Austin Coss and Ben Funk led PC with three hits each. Coss and Wyatt Schultz both drove in two runs and Schultz was the winning pitcher, striking out eight batters.

Colfax defeated Elmwood in baseball 7-6

Elk Mound defeated Spring Valley in softball 15-8

Elmwood/Plum City's softball team downed Mondovi 10-0 to snap a three-game losing streak. Winning pitcher Liz Fredrickson tossed a one-hitter. Cheyanne Catura had three hits and Shelby Hall hit two doubles for the Wolves.

Spring Valley's golf team finished third in a Dunn-St. Croix meet at the Hammond Golf Course with a score of 191. SV's Jacob Richardson took third place by shooting a 41.

Ellsworth's tennis team went 1-2 in a quad. meet at Osceola.
