Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services and America’s electric cooperatives are recognizing this Friday as National Lineman Appreciation Day to honor the hardworking men who work often in challenging conditions to keep the power on.

The cooperative is recognizing all electric linemen for the services they perform around the clock in dangerous conditions to keep the power on and protect the public’s safety.

“Electric linemen do not often receive the recognition they deserve,” said Larry Dokkestul, President and CEO. “They work all hours of the day, often in hazardous conditions away from their families, going above and beyond to restore power to their communities. Our linemen, as well as linemen from all across the nation, truly deserve this special day of recognition.”

To honor the eight linemen--Sheldon Johnson, Mike Maier, John Halverson, Shawn Skelton, Dan Jensen, Greg Johnson, Bryon Gilles and Jordan Hessler--Pierce Pepin plans to host an all-employee luncheon.

Pierce Pepin invites members to take a moment to commend a lineman for the work they do. Use #ThankaLineman to show support for the men and women who light our lives.
