Pirates pound Plum City 12-1
PLUM CITY - Prescott's amateur baseball team steadily piled up the runs against Plum City Saturday afternoon and won 12-1 at Legion Park.
The Pirates plated four runs in the third to take a 5-0 lead and added four more in the top of the ninth inning, three of them scoring off a home run by Brady Randolph.
The warm and windy conditions led to several home runs and deep fly balls. Prescott's Ben Krings blasted a solo home run as did Plum City's Zach Watkins.
Watkins was PC's top hitter as hit a homer and a double. But the Blues were held to just four hits by winning pitcher Nick Johnson.
Shawn Ingli also hit a double for Plum City while Krings scored twice. Prescott's leading hitter was Chris Terrazas as he had two doubles while scoring four runs.
