Plum City announces top two students

Raquel Wieser and Shelby Kannel were announced as the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2013 at Plum City High School, respectively. Graduation is set for 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 25, in the high school gymnasium.

Information for each follows:

Raquel Wieser

Wieser earned Valedictorian honors with a 4.0 GPA. She is president of the National Honor Society and helps organize activities to build character and citizenship. She has worked hard to prepare for college by taking a rigorous class schedule and participating in forensics and drama to advance her communication skills. Her current class schedule includes college English, Physics, Calculus, German II, Psychology and Sociology.

Shelby Kannel

Kannel was named Salutatorian with a 3.99 GPA. She is a member of the National Honor Society and helps with many special events and provides outstanding leadership to the younger students. She has participated in volleyball, basketball, softball, band, choir, cheerleading, dance and FFA.
