The board committed to acquiring up to $300,000 from the Plum City branch of the Bank of Spring Valley. If needed, Clerk/Treasurer Jean McDonough explained, the funds could be reimbursed through state loans and other ventures. She also mentioned the village is still a couple of months away from coming up with the necessary cash to pay for the sewer.

Furthermore, it was announced during the board meeting Ayres and Associates are in the process of planning an informational meeting for the public at the senior center to discuss the sewer project. Time and date are to be determined.

County Board Supervisor Mel Pittman informed the board the planned south Main Street project leading into CTH U won't be done until 2008. Pittman's explanation is the state trimmed the necessary funds. Once completed, the road will be fixed and be wider.

The board approved the second annual Fire Department Steak Feed, to be held Saturday, April 28, at the fire hall. The dinner will last from 4-8:30 p.m., with a band going from 8:30 p.m.-1 a.m. All proceeds will help benefit the fire department.

The next regular board meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 2.
