Plum City group serves meal
Despite the cold temperatures, nine members of Plum City High School’s National Honor Society and two of the group’s advisers traveled to Eau Claire to prepare a meal for people in need on Jan. 8. The group volunteered at The Community Table (TCT), which was founded in 1993 by a group of citizens and organizations concerned about hunger in the Eau Claire community. Initially serving two meals a week, the schedule has expanded to one meal each day. The honor students helped serve over 100 people for lunch, which consisted of chicken stir fry, steamed rice, garden salad, fruit and sliced bread (Photos submitted).
