Plum City volleyball team finally gets season underway

DURAND - The Plum City High school volleyball team beletedly began its 2013 season Thursday.

The Blue Devils had two of their meets canceled last week due to extreme heat of a late-summer warm weather spell.

But yesterday PC marked the season's beginning with the annual quadrangular meet in Durand.

The Blue Devils went 2-1, finishing second. PC won its first match over Pepin 25-8, 25-19. They lost to meet champion Cochrane-Fountain City 18-25, 20-25 but bounced back to beat the host Panthers 25-18, 25-22. 

Plum City will make up one of the canceled meets on Tuesday at Colfax.
