Plum City wins another overtime contest

PLUM CITY - For the fourth time this month Plum City High School boys' basketball team has had to go to an overtime session to decide a ballgame's outcome.

The Blue Devils improved their record in such contests to 3-1 after winning 65-60 over Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran Friday evening.

The Blue Devils led by six with a little over a minute to go but a pair of turnovers helped Immanuel tie the score at the end of regulation.

In the overtime session, PC outscored the Lancers, 6-2 overall, 5-0.

Chase Luebker again led Plum City in scoring with 28 points. Alex Gilles finished with 15.

The Devils improve to 8-4 overall and have a key Dunn-St. Croix contest vs. Colfax for first place in the league Thursday at home for Alumni Band Night. The Vikings lost Friday to Elk Mound leaving PC a half-game out of first place. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
