Pohl family, attorneys to get one million from settlement
CHIPPEWA FALLS - A settlement which should be finalized tomorrow will result in Luke Pohl's family and attorneys getting more than a million dollars.
Pohl was one of four people killed in a 2011 Chippewa County boat crash. It will be up to Chippewa County Judge James Isaacson to approve the settlement tomorrow.
Seven plaintiffs, including survivors of the night time crash, will split three and a half million dollars coming from the insurance companies for the two men who were operating the boat. Settlements for other plaintiffs are pending.
