Prep boys basketball season begins tonight

From now until the middle of March, prep boys basketball will be played in the state of Wisconsin.

And in western Wisconsin, Pierce County to be particular, three county teams will begin their season tonight starting approximately at 7:30 p.m.


Corey Enberg's first season as Ellsworth High School's new boys basketball head coach starts tonight as the Panthers travel to Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran.

Plum City begins at home tonight against rival Alma/Pepin, which is a non-conference contest. Paul Churchill returns to the PC sidelines for the 2013-14 season.

Another county Dunn-St. Croix Conference team, Elmwood, begins its season tronight with a non-conference contest at home vs. Gilmanton.

The D-SC begins play on Thursday. Spring Valley was to begin its season that night but because Glenwood City will be busy with the WIAA State Football Finals, the game has been postponned until Dec. 9.

Prescott's season opener is Friday at home vs. Hastings.
