Preparations made for Ellsworth schools' levy override referendum

The Ellsworth School Board Monday acted on issues regarding the levy override referendum to be held Tuesday, April 5.

The board approved two resolutions related to the referendum. The first authorizes the school district budget to exceed the revenue limit by $1,300,000 for three years for non-recurring purposes. The second provides for the referendum election on the question of approving the first.

Dates, times and locations for two public information meetings about the referendum were also scheduled. One will be held on Wednesday, March 2, at 6 p.m. at Prairie View Elementary School. The other will be held on Thursday, March 10, at 6 p.m. at the Ellsworth High School Cafetorium.
