Prescott boys basketball team wins first-ever MBC title

PRESCOTT - A dominating 65-23 wipeout of New Richmond on Tuesday has given Prescott High School's boys' basketball team it's first-ever Middle Border Conference title in schools history.

The Cardinal defense held the Tigers to just eight first half points to lead 26-8 at halftime. PHS cranked up its offense in the second half, outscoring NR 24-10 in the third quarter, the most points New Richmond scored per in the contest.

Clay Seifert led Prescott in scoring with 14 points and Miles Garvey finished with 11 points. 

Prescott will finished tied in the MBC standings with Somerset, both team at 13-1 overall. The Cards' 18-3 overall, conclude their regular season Friday evening against Spring Valley at Prescott.
