PRESCOTT - A truncated and rescheduled Prescott Track and Field Invitational had just three teams Tuesday. Prescott's boys team came away winners while Ellsworth won the girls meet at Laney Field.

The meet was scheduled for April 6 but was postponed due to rain.

Prescott edged Ellsworth in the boys' meet 84-81 with Baldwin-Woodville third with 21 points.

Ellsworth took the girls' meet with 89 points followed by Prescott's 55 and B-W's 39.

Both the Cardinals and Panthers split the number of first places in each event with nine apiece but PHS swept all the relays, giving the Cardinals their second meet victory of the season.

Prescott's Sam Carpenter was a double winner in the 100-meter dash and long jump while teammate Cole Geiger won both the 200 and 400-meter dashes.

Ellsworth's Nick Oeltjen won both the shot put and discus and EHS' Josh Fuchs was a winner in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles and the triple jump.

Lydia Kuhl won three events in the girls' meet, both hurdle races and the long jump, to lead the Panthers.
