Prescott, Elmwood homecomings next week

Prescott and Elmwood high schools are holding their Homecoming festivities next week.

Elmwood will have five dress-up days and they are Monday: Mix and Match Day; Tuesday: Nerd Day;  Wednesday: Neon Day; Thursday: Disney Day and Friday: Spirit Day. Throughout the week there will be a co-ed volleyball tournament held during the lunch hour and hallways will be decorated during study hall time. Friday will be busy with Pep Fest in new gymnasium starting at 1 p.m. followed by the parade at 2:30 p.m. The annual Watermelon Feed will follow after the parade and there will be a tailgate party before the football game starting at 5:30 p.m.  The game between Elmwood/Plum City and Lake Holcombe/Cornell begins at 7 p.m. at Raider Field and the Homecoming Dance will follow afterwards with the grand march beginning at 10 p.m.

Dress-up and special activites for Prescott's Homecoming Week are as follows:  Monday - Camo/Blaze Orange Day; Students will decorate the gym and lobby and halls from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday - Salad Dressing Day; A fan bus is being organized for the volleyball match in Durand and there will be a pink out for the match as well.  Wednesday - Wacky Wednesday; The boys volleyball tournament begins at 7:30 a.m.  Thursday - Black Out/Glow Stick Day; The crowning of the Homecoming Queen will take place after the Homecoming volleyball game between Ellsworth and Prescott starting at 7 p.m. There will be a bonfire after the volleyball game, weather permitting starting approximately at 9:45 p.m.  Friday - Throwback Spirit Day; The parade will be in the morning starting at 8:45. The Pep Fest in the gym begins at 1:50 p.m. and goes until the end of the school day. The Homecoming King will be crowned at halftime of the football game between Prescott and Baldwin-Woodville starting at 7 p.m. at Laney Field.
