Prescott girls golf team fourth in division at Barron Scramble, EHS sixth
BARRON - Despite not having two starters, the Prescott High School girls' golf team finished fourth out of 12 teams in the small school division at the Barron Scramble Friday as the prep sports season is now underway.
The Cardinals golfed without returning letter winners Lauren Hintz and McKenzie Willner who were away due to family commitments. The rest of the team helped the Cards' shoot a scrmable format score of 72.
Spooner took first with a score of 61 followed by Maple Northwestern with a 66 and Somerset 68.
Ellsworth competed in the large school division and finished tied for sixth with the New Richmond JV2 squad. Both teams shot an 82.
Osceola won the large school division with a score of 65 followed by Eau Claire Memorial 66 and the New Richmond varsity 67.
Both Ellsworth and Prescott will compete in the first Middle Border Conference meet Tuesday at Somerset.
