Prescott golfers advance to sectionals again
LUCK - For the second season in a row the Prescott High School girls golf team will play in the sectional meet as it advanced through the WIAA Division 2 Luck/Unity Regional Wednesday at Luck Golf Course.
Prescott finished second out of nine teams with an 18-hole score of 437. Osceola won the regional title with a score of 393.
PHS's Megan Westerberg becomes PHS's first-ever regional champion in girls' golf as she shot a 92, edging out Baldwin-Woodville's Lindsay Veenendal by a single stroke. Osceola's Tianna Anderson finished third with a 95.
Ellsworth placed seventh with a score of 519. Madelyn Nielsen finished 18th overall with a score of 119.
The sectional meet is on Tuesday at Somerset's Bristol Ridge Golf Course. The top two teams and top three individuals not on a qualifiying team advance to state.
