PRESCOTT--The Prescott School Board recently accepted a resignation from Dave Bunn, high school principal.

Bunn and his wife, Jennifer, look forward to moving back where so many of their relatives live. Bunn looks forward to raising his children in the same area he was raised.

However, he admits he will leave Prescott with fond memories.

"I truly enjoyed the past five years in the Prescott School District," said Bunn. "The students are really good people with a lot of initiative.

According to Superintendent Roger Hulne, Bunn made a positive, lasting impression at Prescott High School.

"I commend him for being a technology leader by moving the schools to wireless capability and increasing the learning resources for our students. Mr. Bunn is passionate about education. He implemented Professional Learning Communities (PLC) to provide staff collaboration opportunities and he worked diligently to move the high school forward in implementing curriculum standards."

Hulne added Bunn took a personal interest in students, and worked with each and every student to assure success.

Bunn will remain with the Prescott School District through the end of the school year. The school board accepted applications for the high school principal position through April 19. Along with school administration and school board members, the interview team will include school staff and members of the community.

The goal is to have a hiring recommendation for the Wednesday, May 8, school board meeting.

Any questions or comments about the process can be directed to Hulne at the district office.
