Prescott man hurt in snowmobile crash
A 40-year-old Prescott man was said to have suffered a lower back injury Saturday night when he lost control of his snowmobile after hitting a bump in the trail, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.
Matthew Krech was transported by ambulance from the county trail near the junction of CTH QQ and 1170th St., just south of STH 29 in the town of Clifton.
Authorities said he was thrown from his machine after he hit a bump.
He was taken to the River Falls Area Hospital.
Assisting deputies at the scene were Prescott Area fire and ambulance personnel, Prescott police and a paramedic from the River Falls Area Ambulance Service.
