Prescott police asking for the public's help in catching armed robber

The Prescott Police Department announced Tuesday it is asking for assistance from the public in identifying a supect in an armed robbery October 12 at BP Amoco, 302 Lake St. 

Police Chief Mike R. Bondarenko said in a news release, the robbery took place at 8:45 p.m. A five-foot-seven to five-foot-nine male weighing between 160 to 170 pounds walked into the store and demanded money from a clerk. The subject was wearing a shiny black jacket with a hood and a bandana over his nose and mouth. The suspect has dark hair and wears glasses. The suspect displayed a partially concealed object the clerk believed was a weapon. The suspect fled on food with an undisclosed amount of cash.
