PRESCOTT – Prescott police executed a drug-related search warrant December 1 on a residence in the trailer court at 800 Canton Street. Officers discovered an indoors marijuana grow operation and confiscated marijuana, marijuana plants and equipment and supplies used to grow plants indoors, Chief of Police Mike R. Bondarenko said.

“Officers had responded to the residence at 2:03 a.m. for a possible domestic-related complaint and noticed marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the residence,” Bondarenko said. “The residence was sealed and officers obtained a search warrant, which resulted in the seizure of 23 pieces of evidence, including three marijuana plants.”

A 27-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man lives at the residence. Charges against them are pending with the Pierce County District Attorney’s Office.

The investigation is the second indoors marijuana grow raided by city police in the past month and the sixth major felony-level drug case worked by the department in the last two months.
