Prescott rallies to beat River Falls in volleyball 3-2

PRESCOTT - After being battered in Game 3 and trailing in Game 4 on the verge of defeat, Prescott High School's volleyball team rallied to beat River Falls in five games Tuesday night.

The Cardinals, 5-2 overall, took Game 1 25-22 and had several chances to win Game 2. But River Falls slipped away to win Game 2 26-24 and blasted the Cards in Game 3 25-16. The 'Cats jumped out to another big lead at 11-4 in Game 4 and Prescott looked defeated.

But the Redbirds rallied behind the hits of Kallie Krech and Katie Magee, the middle blocks of Taran Strand, the passing of Amy Carroll, Autumn Stees and Emily Langer the digs of Alyssa Krings and the serving points of Mary Kate Pryor to win Game 4 25-20 and win Game 5 15-9 after taking a 9-3 lead.
