Kuehni sentenced to probation, jail time in fatal shooting case

Prescott softball team edges Durand, wins third straight game

ARKANSAW - The Prescott High School softball team just got past Durand 2-1 Monday afternoon in a rescheduled contest.

Marti Johnson was the winning pitcher, tossing a four-hitter. Leading the Cardinals at the plate were Katy Syverson with two hits, including a triple, and Mariah Krings, who also had two hits. 

PHS won its third straight contest also thanks to three Durand errors. The Panthers lost their second straight league contest by one run as they fell to Ellsworth at home Saturday 11-10. They are 10-6 overall.

The Cards' improve to  6-3 overall and 4-3 in the MBC.  They host New Richmond at Biggs Field this afternoon starting at 5 p.m.
